The LEE Initiative, in partnership with Southern Dining places for Racial Justice and Heinz have declared a 2nd year of grants for Black-owned food businesses across the United States.
Cheryl Day, Founder of Southern Places to eat for Racial Justice, describes, “I truly want to make positive that these Black-owned places to eat are found, heard, and can build these legacy companies.” She continued, “From the coronary heart, I want to make certain they are sustainable and that we’re giving what they have to have.”
The LEE Initiative, Southern Eating places for Racial Justice, and HEINZ will award grants in the amount of money of $15,000 to $25,000 just about every to Black-owned food items businesses – equally current and startups. In addition to the monetary awards, this year’s grants for new Black-owned food stuff businesses will include things like a continuing education and learning part for grantees with seminars that includes meals-business veterans. The seminars will element well timed and applicable matters this sort of as professional leases, compact enterprise accounting, and personnel training and retention.
